PHYSIO NET and Vodafone ATH Foundation partnership is stronger than ever.

“Today we are gathered to witness a ‘gentlemen’s agreement that has grown through time and distance. Today’s handing over of much needed assisted devices, therapy equipment and medical consumables shows commitment and friendship to ensure that much needed support and services are available to our loved ones with special needs.”

Above are the sentiments shared by the Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Lynda Tabuya, when handing over the 24th consignment of mobility devices and medical consumables which were donated by PhysioNET through the Spinal Injury Association at the National Council for Persons with Disabilities complex earlier today.

Also present at the handing over, British Deputy High Commissioner to Fiji H. E Nicole Noble commended PhysioNET for the work they did in gathering the much-needed equipment in the UK and shipping it to Fiji, with the extraordinary objective of improving the lives and wellbeing of so many people.

The Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection acknowledged the tremendous support shown by Vodafone Fiji Ltd, Mr. Thompson of PhysioNET, whose family and friends have worked tirelessly to ensure the shipment reached the intended recipients. She commended the partnership between Spinal Injury Association and PhysioNET, making special mention of the late Joshco Wakaniyasi, who dedicated most of his life advocating for people living with disabilities, and it was through his dedication that this partnership was forged which has greatly benefitted our people living with special needs since the first shipment to our shores in 2009.
